Mission Statement
Through competitions, performances, appearances, and volunteer activities the Towson University Dance Team serves as Towson's Ambassadors.
The Towson University Dance Team is a competitive group, and to that end, they focus on excelling at competitions on the National level.
The Towson University Dance Team constantly strives to elevate their level of performance and raise the standard by which dance teams are evaluated.
The Towson University Dance Team receives requests from a variety of campus groups, departments, and divisions for a performance or appearance. The Towson University Dance Team makes an effort to fulfill requests equitably across the campus. Additionally, the Towson University Dance Team performs/appears at select community events in the Mid-Atlantic area.
Members on our team have a diverse background. Some members have been trained in dance, some have participated on competitive cheerleading squads, some members have a strong foundation in gymnastics, some members have experience in kicklines, and other members come from elite pom programs. This diversity makes our team great, because we draw on each others strengths to succeed.
The Towson University Dance Team is formally associated with the Department of Theatre Arts within the College of Fine Arts and Communication.
In addition, the Towson University Dance Team is proud of their relationship with our biggest supporters the Student Government Association.
We are very grateful to Towson University the Department of Theatre Arts, and the Student Government Association for their continued encouragment and support.
